I recently read a half hearted rant about Everton, which criticised the club for not following Stephen R. Covey’s “the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. As this is the “People’s” club (highly effective or otherwise), I thought I’d have a look at how well that argument stood up, or whether it was yet another [...]

Liverpool fans were hoping to be challenging for the Premiership title this year, and if it were not for their disastrous away form early in the season then they would have undoubtedly been up there.
But as they are not, then do they really want to see their old rivals win it over the young pretenders [...]

Ofcom regulate the majority of the communications industry in the UK. One of the key things they regulate is the integrity of a broadcast, in particular to ensure that “the news, in whatever form, is reported with due accuracy and presented with due impartiality”. In fact anyone reading Ofcom’s Broadcasting Code would find it difficult [...]

I’ve got a lot of respect for Mourinho. Its easy for Chelsea’s Premiership rivals to point at the millions he’s spent and accuse him of just buying the league, but to do so ignores two very important facts; Chelsea’s spending was necessary to put them on a level playing field with the likes of Man United, [...]

Everyone is blaming Rafa’s selection policy, but is that just [...]

Wolves fans might be about to find out as the formerly moustachioed lothario has been telling the local rag in Wolverhampton that he has a £20m offer on the table to buy Wolves from Sir Jack Hayward and is fully prepared to follow through with the purchase if given the green light.
I bet Mick McCarthy’s [...]

I wholeheartedly apologise to Ian Durrant for giving him my backing before Rangers’ Scottish Cup game with Dunfermline at the weekend and, of course, instantly putting the scud on their chances of winning.
I can’t really take all of the blame of course, the utter rubbish that currently has the gall to wear the Rangers shirt [...]

Hopefully he won’t have to live up to his sentiments for many years yet but Rangers youth team coach Ian Durrant has said that fulfilling a lifelong ambition to manage Rangers will allow him to look back on his deathbed and smile at what he achieved in his career.
Stepping in as caretaker manager for one [...]

Looks like Arsene has gone off on another one of his rants, trying to take the splinter out of someone else’s eye before taking the tree trunk out of his own (or whatever it was the Bible said).
To be fair, as usual, he has a point, and he’s directed his attack on deliberate foul play [...]
