Argentina Soccer Coach Offered to Maradona

The  offer to become head coach for the Argentina national football team was extended to Maradona. The decision to replace Sergio Batista as head coach has proven to be unpopular even after poor performances during the Beijing Olympic Games last summer.

David Beckham on loan with AC Milan

David Beckham is being loaned to AC Milan for three starting January 7. The loan warrants that Beckham needs to keep his skills sharp to keep his chances for playing with England. Not sure if I understand how all of this works. I didn’t think that players could be “loaned” to other teams.
