Peru Barred From Playing 2010 World Cup

The Peru National Football team has been barred by FIFA to play in any International FIFA Championship games, including the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The government of Peru violated some fundamental rules of FIFA including interfering in the decision to place Manuel Burga as president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).

MLS Rejects Montreal Impact Bid

The Major League Soccer Association has rejected the Montreal Impact’s bid to join the league by 2011.
