Arsene Wenger disappointed about something…
Arsene Wenger has found something else to moan about. Not content with slagging off clubs for the Englishness of their ownership, he’s now having a go at the international break which he claims is “unacceptable”.
Mr Wenger said, “It is terrible, the international teams play Saturday and Wednesday and when they come back we do not have enought time with them”
Mr Wenger then gets his calculator out and declares, “I have calculated that over the next 10 months our players will be away with their countries for 100 days. That is just not acceptable”.
So all you Watford fans out there, the next time you moan about not being in the Champions League or not challenging for the Premiership, remember that there are clubs out there who are worse off than yourselves….

This venedatta against Arsene is unbearable. He isn’t the only one to have said this, even Jose and Sir Alex have said this earlier in the season.
I’m sorry STJ but you really need to stop being so ridiculously anti-AW just for the sake of it, especially as your own manger has pretty much said the same thing earlier this season.

Sorry Laura, but he comes out and says some of the most ridiculous things. He might be intelligent and he might be a gentleman, but his use of the English language is choice sometimes.
Ok I promise to try and wind my neck in next time he says something…

But he has said (and rather more eloquently) the same as a dozen managers this season so why singel him out?

I think it was the dramatic use of the words “terrible” and “unacceptable” which may sound better in French (”terrible” and inacceptable” - ok, maybe not) but he always seems (to me) to use hypobolic language to describe his difficulties (which leads to the obvious play on words - which I wont use as I’ve just promised not to)

I’ll look at the use of lanuage that all the other premiershiop managers use but I’ve got a feel Arsene’s os no more hyberbolic! Of course he can be dramatic as anyone else under media scrutiny but it amazes me that you can easily criticise Arsene for his use of lanaguage when Jose exaggerates everything so obviously. I just think you should be carefuly before throwing stones in glass houses.

Laura - I have a confession to make - I just don’t like Arsene as much as you do. I know that Mourinho and Ferguson can be just as bad, but they seem to have a passion about them that Arsene lacks. I’m probably wrong and I will try to look at him in a different light following your revelations about what he is really like.
P.S. I also don’t like Benitez, …or Roeder and maybe one or two other managers. It depends what kind of day I’ve had really…

I really think tyou should look it over becase Arsene is incredibly passionate about the Club and football. His life is football.

maybe its the French I don’t like? or the Spanish? ….hang on that still doesn’t explain Roeder
Laura - promise I’ll try to give Arsene the benefit of the doubt in future. You are right, most managers have raised this as an issue in the past and I need to be more even handed about it.

I know everyone has managers that they don’t like, some you can’t even explain why, but we have to beware, to use Arsene’s anaology, starting a witch-hunt. We could if we tried read something sinister in everything a manager says

You might be right about the witch-hunt - I do see something of the night about him…

AW is a soar loser, he never sees anything that does not suit him. There are clubs in EPL that their entire first team is away on Int. duties. But then again this is typical of Arse fans biased and blind as a bat.
