As if Newcastle Didn’t Have Enough Problems: Emre Faces Investigation

by footie on November 30th, 2005

EmreI hated Emre when he was at Inter because I thought he was a diver who wasn’t anywhere near as talented as he seemed to think he was. Since he’s come to Newcastle, however, I’ve undergone a bit of a conversation - I mean, the dude scores goals and can cross the ball fairly reliably. What’s not to love?

Now, however, the results of FIFA’s early inquiries into that whole Turkey-Switzerland thing have picked Emre out as one of only three players who will face “proceedings” as the inquiries go forward. No, I don’t know what “proceedings” are either, but they can’t be good, especially if other targets are kicker Benjamin Huggel, failed tripper Mehmet Ozdilek, and Satan himself the Turkish FA. So, not only is Emre an egotistical diver, but he also just might be a violent prick. Super. Well, I’m sure Bowyer and Dyer are thrilled to have a companion.

I can’t believe you think emre is a diver.
Sure he gets hurt a lot, but he is definatly not a diver.
He’s just a target to other players because he is most agressive and dangerous out on the field.
He scores too many goals for other players to say “oh lets just let him go” NO they trip him.
He’s no faker, he’s the best in the world.

This is a rubbish article with no substance. Emre has been a fine player since his arrival at SJP and he’s certainly no diver. Good player with a good attitude.
