Brazil’s Marta Makes It Look Easy

by Jyle on September 28th, 2007

marta-brazilThe Brazil Womens team blew past team USA in World Cup semi-finals.

“The way Brazil and sensational striker Marta played, it didn’t matter who was in goal for the United States. Marta scored two goals and the Brazilians put on a dazzling display of soccer Thursday, outhustling the Americans at nearly every turn to cruise to a 4-0 victory in the Women’s World Cup semifinals.”

They make it look easy by the way they were playing. Brazil will now confront defending champions Germany on Sunday for the Woman’s World Cup finals showdown. Don’t miss it, it’s sure to be an exciting game. Brazil are considered the underdogs in the league because of their lack of funding by their government. What they lack in endorsements they make up for in talent. Brazil has something to be proud of, they need to back up their female soccer players.

I don’t think it would have mattered if the U.S. had had both goalies in at the same time. I was shocked by how lopsided that game was. I don’t think that the score is indicative of the game.
