Manchester United Eliminated From Carling Cup
The disappointment is all over Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson as he leaves the field after his team lost 2-0 loosing their chance at the Carling Cup. The defeat came as a shock as they were the leagues power-house.
Manchester United was eliminated from the Carling Cup on Wednesday by lower-league Coventry but defending champion Chelsea ended a four-match winless streak with a 4-0 win at Hull. United, which lost at Old Trafford for the first time this season, fielded a second-choice side but still had six international players in its starting lineup. Coventry won with two goals from Michael Mifsud, one in each half.
