Newcastle Beat Arsenal; Also, Snowball Fights Break Out in Hell
[impartial response]If I was Arsenal, I’d be pissed: Al was beating the hell out of all of them and somehow didn’t get carded until the 90th minute. Meanwhile, Gilberto was sent off - apparently for not being graceful enough. So sad.[/impartial]
WOO HOO! We beat someone! Nobby scored! WE SCORED A GOAL FROM OPEN PLAY! YAAAAAAAAAYY!!! Ahem. In other news, Freddie Ljungberg seemed to have left the pitch entirely in about the 30th minute and never came back, while Scott Parker was an absolute bloody beast. And hats off to Al for making the entire Arsenal side so angry they could hardly see. As Souey said after the game, the captain was “a real grumpy old man today.” And for once, the emphasis wasn’t on ‘old.’
We’re in the top half, baby. Considering how we start? this is a good day indeed.
