Scotland Will Face Macedonia In 2010 World Cup Opening Game
It was announced Friday that Scotland will play Macedonia in the 2010 FIFA World Cup game opener in South Africa.
The Fixtures are;
Saturday, 6 September, 2008 - FYR Macedonia v Scotland
Wednesday, 10 September, 2008 - Iceland v Scotland
Saturday, 11 October, 2008 - Scotland v Norway
Saturday, 28 March, 2009 - Holland v Scotland
Wednesday, 1 April, 2009 - Scotland v Iceland
Wednesday, 19 August, 2009 - Norway v Scotland
Saturday, 5 September, 2009 - Scotland v FYR Macedonia
Wednesday, 9 September, 2009 - Scotland v Holland

This time, Scotland has some quality players who can take Sctoland to some distance. However, they have to keep in mind that Norway and Holland are formiddable teams.

I believe Macedonia can finish in the top two.
Netherlands - 2 draws last time we played them
Norway - Nothing special but are effective
Scotland - Not as good as england and Macedonai played very well against them and the others who are minnows these days. GO MACEDONIA FROM YOUR FANS IN AUSTRALIA

Macedonia expects at least 4 points from the first 2 games in the group against Scotland and Holland. So that probably means that Scotland should not expect nothing more than defeat.Wish you luck…

Well just a couple of days till the opener. It should be a good game in Skopje,i hope Macedonia will win it, but wish you good luck scots. And Tartan Army you’re welcomed to feel like home in Skopje. See you at the game.
