Soccer Corruption Ignorance in Asia

by Jyle on May 11th, 2008

World FootballEdward Thangarajah wrote an interesting article called “Corruption and match-fixing menacing Asian soccer.” You can read the article here. The only problem I had with his observances was the level of ignorance. Asian soccer has always been plagued with corruption - game fixing by paying key players. I mean all you have to do is offer allot of money to a player who would gain less by winning. In soccer it seems that even their injuries are planned.

I’m not trying to be mean, but I would be very surprised if the Beijing Olympics went without any underhanded payouts.
