Soccer Violence Bans Club From Selling Tickets in Argentina
In a recent decision to punish a soccer club in Argentina, officials have barred team River Plate from selling tickets to their game against Tigre. The match was won by River Plate 1-0 but to an empty stadium that seemed quiet and drafty. The victory seemed uneventful without the crowds of supporters.
River were barred from selling tickets for the game, except to club members occupying the most expensive seats, following crowd violence at a match against Arsenal two weeks ago.
