Today at Inter.it: Even God Loves the Milan Derby

by footie on December 10th, 2005

God loves MilanAs Milan and Inter prepare for their massive match tomorrow, one of the key steps in the process - obviously - is to get in touch with the Lord to see if he has any last-minute suggestions. To that end, captains Paolo Maldini and Javier Zanetti paid an official visit on the esteemed Archbishop of Milan. (For those of you out of the loop on such things, his name is Dionigi Tettamanzi. Try to keep up.)

Though the usually bubbling with information Inter website is mysteriously silent on what exactly went down with Tettamanzi, the prominence of jerseys in the meeting makes it clear that this was no casual chat. God - officially - will be watching. (No word yet on how he allowed the Vieri signing to happen.) Also, speaking of the Lord, could you please look at Maldini in these pictures? Remind me again why he’s still not been anointed king of world? The man is perfect.
