Today at Inter.it: Overrun by Consuls General!
Yeah, I know. Roy Keane signed a multi-year deal with Celtic. Blah blah hail the conquering hero blah.
The really important news today, friends, is that six consuls general visited the Inter training center! What’s a consul general, you ask? Yeah, no idea. It’s something foreign and political, though, because the crew that came to Appiano were from all over - Mexico, the Czech Republic (no word on if that guy tried to secretly tried to poison Materazzi), and Portugal, among other places. I assume the presence of a fellow Portuguese was the ostensible reason that Figo was the (only) player selected to hang out with the consuls, but given the “Hel-lo ladies!” look in his eye, I’m guessing he would have been there no matter what.
