Wenger Still In Dark Over Henry’s Intentions
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s attempt at a rebuttal over the growing press speculation that Thierry Henry has agreed a gentleman’s agreement to join Barcelona in the summer hasn’t seemed to have had the desired effect with bookies making the Gooner’s talisman more likely to be appearing at the Nou Camp next season than the Emirates stadium.
Wenger has said that he doesn’t believe that Henry would have done a deal behind Arsenal’s back as has been reported in both the Spanish and English media, with a cut-price fee of £10m being bandied about. If it has been done and Wenger has totally misread the situation it will be a strikingly familiar parallel to a deal he himself did behind the backs of another club, another North London club in fact, a few years ago, minus any transfer fee of course.
To see Henry walk out for nothing the following summer would be even better but to think that he had purposely colluded with Barcelona without Arsenal’s knowledge to give himself an easy exit to La Liga in time for next season would do me fine. I’ll never forgive his club for the way they and their “troubled” England international centre back stitched his old club up to rob them of the transfer fee they should have received only for him to walk out and join their most hated rivals and line his own luxuriant pocket in the process.
What goes around comes around and if Thierry Henry has deception and self preservation on his mind Arsene Wenger won’t have to look around his own dressing room for too long to find someone who could have taught him those particular traits.

You poor sad, pathetic ….
To be bitter about a Bosman is ridiculous. Tottenham gave Sol the freedom to talk to other clubs. All nice and legal. And to think he could have played how many years of UEFA Cup or Champions League with who? Tottenham?
You should be dirtier at Harry Kewell if you’re a true football fan. Says he wants to help Leeds - robs them on the deal in 3 ways.

[...] For this reason I think that the Wenger rebuttal that The Footie mentioned are just a way to not give the impression Arsenal is desperately looking for a substitute. Speaking of Wenger if the player indeed always informed Arsenal I do not really understand his claim that Henry has done a deal behind Arsenal’s back. [...]

Sol lied throughout the whole of his last season with Spurs about loving the club and wanting to stay and not deciding what he was doing until the summer. This was a smokescreen for the deal he and Sky Andrew had agreed with the one club he knew Spurs fans would never forgive him for joining and still he went ahead and took the thirty pieces of silver.
“Emirates stadium will crush you for good”-it’s doing a good enough job of crushing the Arsenal already, white elephant anyone? Best players gone or leaving? Sounds like a proper recipe for success doesn’t it?
Anyone who doesn’t think joining Barcelona would be a step up for Henry is kidding themselves, if he has any career aspirations left then he needs to join a real European superpower and there are none bigger than Barcelona.
